Gasthaus Hinterbruehl - Salzburg

The restaurant downstairs serves amazing food, and you can enjoy outdoor dining while savoring organic products. My room was cozy, clean, and featured a nice refrigerator. Plus, the location was spot on, literally steps from good bakeries and charming local eateries, like Hinterbruhl just around the corner.

The shower and toilet are just a couple of steps away, but you get a cozy dressing gown to keep things comfy. No breakfast was a minor bummer, but I was all good with coffee and the tempting nearby options for brunch.

We truly enjoyed great little rooms and fantastic food.

We didn't have time, but we would stay there again. The place was absolutely charming and cute and restaurant was super. Booked a room with balcony.

Well-equipped and impeccably clean authentic hotel. Incredible central location, really close to a relative quiet square, Salzburg, and nearby attractions and beautiful view of the plaza. Also, on foot or via the cable car which charges different rates according to what you want to see in the castle. Breakfast at the bakery next door...

The room felt 'warm' and homey with a sink for convenience and a good toothbrush. Close proximity of the shared bathroom made things easier than expected, and the fridge added a nice perk.

Charming, clean venue with great location close to other important attractions like Salzburg Cathedral, the castle and major squares in the Old Town and beautiful view of the plaza. Spotless room, airy with a very good tv. Quiet atmosphere of this hotel and pleasant and very good staff: )

Fantastic location right on the edge of the old town, ensuring a peaceful ambiance. The room was spacious enough for a shared one, with comfortable bedding that made waking up difficult. The early 10 am checkout was a bit rushed for a leisurely morning.

The location is perfect for exploring Salzburg, but shared bathroom facilities can feel inconvenient during peak hours.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful old town and everything was super clean. The bed was comfy, and i loved the view out my window.

The room had a huge private bathroom and great shower. Super comfy beds and a cozy fan for warm nights. Loved the balcony overlooking the square. It even had a handy fridge and nice touch with the bathrobe. I appreciated the free toiletries like shampoo and body soap. Perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere.

The location was just a dream, just a few minutes' walk to all the main sights. The room had everything we needed, and the view from the window was lovely. Plus, the owners were very friendly and kept everything clean and tidy.

The rooms are a decent size and come with a balcony and coffee, offering an exceptionally comfortable stay. Breakfasts are served at a fantastic bakery next door. The personnel are incredibly nice, and the location is magnificent, right on a charming square in the old city.

The bed was comfy. It made it hard to get up in the morning! I loved the sink and mirror in the room, perfect for brushing my teeth and getting ready. The shared bathroom was surprisingly clean and close by, made things easier than I expected. Lots of charming character in the room, and the view outside was lovely too!

This lovely and charming hotel truly stood out to me; I didn't want to leave. I genuinely appreciated my time here. The setting is marvellous and stunning, with its proximity to the lovely square, main train station, and landmarks like the castle and Mozart's Geburtshaus, all within a 5-10 minute walk. Staying in the Altstadt district is sure to delight you. The traditional restaurant offers freshly cooked dishes that enhance the experience.
